Munich Airport and the ground handling subsidiary Aeroground are donating EUR 200.000 to benefit the victims of the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria. The Flughafenverein München eV contributes a further 70.000 euros.

Numerous employees of Turkish origin work at the largest airport in Bavaria and its subsidiary AeroGround. According to current reports, the earthquake claimed the lives of more than 16.000 people and made tens of thousands homeless.

“We were horrified to learn about the consequences of the severe earthquake that devastated many towns and villages in south-eastern Turkey and northern Syria. The airport family stands in great solidarity with the colleagues who are worried about relatives and friends in the disaster area. It is now more important than anything else that we provide rapid assistance," says Airport Manager Jost Lammers.
