At the low-cost airline Easyjet, cups and cutlery will now be part of the flying staff's uniform. In the future, the company only wants to provide employees with reusable items for meals.

According to its own information, Easyjet has started issuing cutlery sets and reusable cups to pilots and flight attendants after a test phase. In future, people who join the company will be given this together with their uniform.

“Our crew took this test under their wing and, as always, did an excellent job. It is thanks to their passion and commitment that we are now able to reduce unnecessary waste and roll out this important initiative across the network. This is just one of the many ways we are working to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. We will continue to test new initiatives and make continuous improvements to achieve this goal,” said Angela Mullen, Head of Inflight Retail Operations at Easyjet.
