On April 5, 2024, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer carried out the first test flight with an E190F freighter. It is a former passenger aircraft that has been converted.

For some time now, the manufacturer has been pushing ahead with the conversion of the E190 and E195 machine types into full freighters. The machine, which will make a two-hour test flight from São José dos Campos on April 5, 2024, is the property of the lessor Regional One. In a media statement, Embraer CEO Gomes Neto said he was pleased with the progress being made in this program.
