Emirates is the first airline to introduce the IATA Travel Pass solution on six continents. With this, the golf carrier will in future be able to offer passengers the digital health pass at all of their destinations.

After successful tests in April on selected routes from Dubai, Emirates gradually expanded the IATA Travel Pass pilot project to twelve routes in June. Emirates has now signed a contract with IATA to roll out the solution across their global network. It is currently available to Emirates passengers in 50 cities, with rollout in all over 120 Emirates destinations expected to be completed by October.

“Emirates continues to invest in technology and solutions like the IATA Travel Pass to provide our passengers with a smooth journey and a contactless experience. At the same time, we want to enable our airport teams to carry out document controls efficiently and in accordance with the official requirements, ”said Adel Al Redha, Emirates Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to working with IATA on this solution - from the first pilot tests to full implementation. We will continue to work closely with IATA on improvements to enable passengers to travel even more safely and smoothly ”.
