Emirates launches new wildlife-themed amenity kits

For a few days now, Emirates passengers in economy class have been receiving new amenity kits that, in cooperation with United for Wildlife, draw attention to the eight most endangered wild animal species.

According to statistics from United for Wildlife, 100 elephants are poached worldwide every day. If this doesn't change in the future, elephants could be extinct in the wild by 2025. In addition, there are only 30.000 black rhinos left in the wild - there were 20 at the beginning of the 500.000th century. Pangolins are the most trafficked mammals in the world.

David Fein, co-chair of United for Wildlife, said: “The illegal wildlife trade is an international organized crime that is driving many unique species around the world to extinction at an alarming rate. Airlines and other transportation companies play an important role in disrupting retailers' supply chains. Emirates has consistently demonstrated leadership and commitment in combating this global threat. We are delighted that Emirates’ new amenity kits are now on board and hope they inspire and inform passengers.”
