The vaccinations are starting at Emirates: The Gulf airline has started a large-scale vaccination campaign aimed at immunizing as many of its employees as possible in the United Arab Emirates against the corona virus.

The company, which is based in Dubai, announced that the employees who were “on the front line”, such as cabin and cockpit crews, would initially have priority. The vaccinations are now taking place twelve hours a day, seven days a week, "to ensure that as many key aviation workers as possible get the vaccine," the company said in a statement. The Emirates employees will be administered the corona vaccines from the companies Biontech and Pfizer as well as the Chinese company Sinopharm. The vaccine should contribute to a rapid recovery of the tourism sector in the United Arab Emirates.
