For one day, the Alte Mühlhaus in Salzburg was all about tourist training and networking.

“Every year we train hundreds of tourism professionals with selected experts and coaches. With this party we say thank you for the good cooperation", says ÖHV campus boss Brigitta Brunner and started an interactive workshop with Christoph Ostler from Connected Reality on the opportunities of virtual reality, augmented reality and the metaverse. VR tours create fantastically realistic impressions, AR applications deliver information and services directly to the smartphone. Soon, pioneers will be taking potential guests on virtual tours of hotels and destinations on a grand scale, personalizing true-to-life hotel experiences to be experienced in the Metaverse and booked after bespoke adventures.

BarCamp with culinary highlights and a deluxe concert finale

Together with the graduates of the ÖHV campus, we went to a BarCamp about VR, sustainability, process optimization and employee retention as key factors for long-term success and about culinary issues - keyword "How much half board does a hotel need?" - further into a lively evening according to the motto " Good food, good wine, good friends, good times”. Andreas Döllerer and Andreas Herbst took the participants on a culinary journey in a live cooking show, the food truck "Streatfood" accompanied them with an exquisite selection of burgers until the evening ended with a concert by the band "Deluxe in Concert".
