Eurowings Europe will open the new base in Prague in around three weeks. Eurowings announced on Tuesday that "many thousands of tickets" have already been sold in the Czech Republic directly and through tour operators.

A total of 14 non-stop destinations are to be added from the Czech capital. The first flights will take place on October 31, 2021 in the direction of Bristol and Fuerteventura. The most heavily booked Eurowings flights from Prague to date include Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Málaga. The connections to Athens (Greece), Barcelona (Spain) and Copenhagen (Denmark) are also in high demand, according to the airline.

“We are very pleased that our new offer has been so well received right away. This confirms that we have made exactly the right choice with the highly attractive location of Prague ”, says Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings. The carrier also claims to have found that many Czech customers also book the free middle seat, which is subject to a charge.
