The flight simulator manufacturer CAE and the flying taxi start-up Volocopter have announced a collaboration on pilot training for vertical take-off aircraft. An innovative training program is to be developed for this purpose.
The Bruchsal start-up Volocopter and the Canadian company CAE (Canadian Aviation Electronics) want to jointly develop a training program for pilots of electric vertical take-off aircraft (eVTOLs) and for their upcoming market launch. Volocopter has now announced this in a press release. CAE has agreed to expand its international training network in line with the growing need for pilots at Volocopter and to invest up to 40 million US dollars in the expansion.
