Skopje Airport recorded its busiest August ever with 267.233 passengers handled.

That would represent an increase of 1,2 percent from the month before the 2019 pandemic, according to online portal Ex-Yu-Aviation. The total number of commercial flight movements was 1.785. From January to August, exactly 1.389.807 travelers were handled in the North Macedonian capital. However, the pre-crisis level has not yet been reached, the bottom line is the decline is minus 11,2 percent compared to 2019. The strong upturn in passenger numbers is due to Wizz Air, which has restored its entire route network from Skopje, and by a increased number of charter flights have been favoured.
