Flydubai and Emirates place large orders with Boeing

Gulf carrier Emirates announced at the start of the Dubai Air Show that it would order 90 Boeing 777Xs and five Boeing 787s. The sister company Flydubai also delighted the Americans with an order.

Emirates has reordered 55 B777-9s and 35 777-8s as well as five Dreamliners. Taking previous orders into account, deliveries of 205 machines from the B777X series are awaited. The sister company Flydubai has ordered long-haul aircraft for the first time in its company history. It announced that it had signed a contract for the delivery of 30 Boeing 787-9s.
