Passenger traffic at Frankfurt Airport came a little further out of its corona low in November.

The airport operator Fraport counted almost 4,1 million passengers and thus about 41 percent more than a year earlier, as the company announced in a broadcast. As usual, the passenger volume was lower than in the holiday month of October, but only a good 19 percent below the pre-crisis figure of November 2019. In October, the deficit was still around 23 percent. After business had already increased significantly in the summer, Fraport boss Stefan Schulte now expects around 50 million passengers at Germany's largest airport this year.

In the cargo business, however, the airport recorded a further decline in November. 160.657 tons of freight and airmail were handled, almost 15 percent less than in the same period last year.
