Five-year contract extension for Brussels CFO

Brussels Airlines CFO Nina Öwerdieck has received an early contract extension. She has been a member of the Executive Board of the Belgian Lufthansa subsidiary since June 1, 2020. She led the company through the corona pandemic and achieved early repayment of government loans.

Nina Öwerdieck has held the position of CFO at Brussels Airlines since June 1, 2020. Together with Dorothea von Boxberg, Chief Executive Officer, and Tilman Reinshagen, Chief Operations Officer, she heads the Brussels-based airline, one of the four network airlines in the Lufthansa Group.

“Under Nina's leadership, Brussels Airlines has managed to emerge from the worst crisis in its history by delivering a very good financial result in the third quarter of 2022. In addition, Nina successfully led the Reboot Plus turnaround plan and secured an early repayment of the Belgian government loan. I am delighted that Nina will remain on the Brussels Airlines Board of Directors for another five years. Together with her colleagues, she will continue to build on the airline's strengths and guide the company on its path to sustainable profitability," said Christina Foerster, Member of the Lufthansa Group Executive Board and Chairwoman of the SN Airholding Board.
