Seen worldwide - but not in Germany - the aviation industry was able to almost regain the passenger volume that it had before the corona pandemic. According to IATA, 94,1 percent of the passenger kilometers that were in 2019 were offered in the previous year.

Domestic traffic exceeded the volume. However, this does not apply to Germany, because here the offer and passenger numbers were only just over half of 2019. Seen worldwide, the offer in international traffic, which accounts for 58,1 percent of all connections, was 88,6 percent of the pre-crisis volume.
