ICE trains: Deutsche Bahn is testing compartments with more privacy

Deutsche Bahn AG is thinking about adapting the compartments of its ICE fleet. The aim is to respond to criticism from passengers that there is not enough privacy on the Intercity Express trains.

During the “Experience Mobility” trade fair held in Berlin, DB AG presented a mockup of an ICE compartment that has a frosted glass window. Another special feature: This only has two seats, which are arranged opposite each other. Given the features, one can assume that it was developed for first class and an additional charge could be charged for its use. However, it is not yet clear whether compartments with more privacy will actually be introduced.
