The Indonesian Ministry of Defense has ordered two Airbus A400Ms configured as multi-purpose tanker and transport aircraft. 

With the contract, which comes into force in 2022, the number of A400M operator nations will increase to ten. The contract also includes a full support package for maintenance and training. A letter of intent was also signed regarding the future acquisition of four additional A400Ms. “This new order further strengthens the A400M's presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The A400M increases Indonesia's room for maneuver. The Indonesian Air Force has the perfect platform for transporting large and heavy loads to remote areas, but also for refueling combat aircraft, ”said Michael Schoellhorn, CEO Airbus Defense and Space.
