In July 2021, the volume of traffic at German airports will rise to almost 40 percent of the pre-crisis level.

Exactly 9.911.416 passengers used the German airports, according to the airport association ADV. Compared to the pre-crisis year 2019, the decrease is now -60,2 percent. Compared to July 2020, that is more than twice as many passengers (+98,6 percent). The cargo volume continues to perform at a high level of +20,4 percent and 452.752 tons (compared to 2019 +11,5 percent). At +38,7 percent, the number of commercial flight movements was up on the previous year, but was significantly lower than in 2019 at -43,2 percent. The airports recorded 120.958 take-offs and landings.
