At Dubai-DXB Airport, two commercial aircraft collided on Thursday morning while taxiing. There were no injuries, because all inmates got away with the horror. The incident caused significant delays, however, as a runway had to be closed for safety reasons.

A Boeing 737-800 from FlyDubai and an Airbus A321neo from Gulf Air were affected. “The Flydubai flight FZ 1461 from Dubai International (DXB) to Bishkek International Airport (FRU) is due to a minor incident with one of ours on July 22, 2021 Boeing 737-800 of the next generation and another aircraft on the taxiway returned to the gate ”, said FlyDubai in an initial statement.

The airport operator added: “Dubai Airports can confirm that there was an incident at DXB involving two passenger planes in the early hours of Thursday, July 22nd, 2021. As a result, one runway was temporarily closed in order to be able to deal with the minor incident quickly. Operations at DXB were not affected and the runway reopened after two hours. "

Gulf Air also confirms the involuntary encounter and says in an official statement that one of their aircraft was hit in the tail by an aircraft of another airline. The passengers want to be rebooked. An Airbus A320neo was in use, but the carrier masked out the machine type in the query response.
