Korean Air recently started offering an Inter-Airline Through Check-In-Service (IATCI) in cooperation with Asiana Airlines.

This allows passengers to check in with the first airline to have their baggage processed through to the final destination and only receive it again at the destination. They can also be assigned a seat for the connecting flight and receive their boarding pass for the flights. "With the implementation of the service, transit passengers who use both Korean Air and Asiana Airlines will benefit from convenient customer service," the broadcast said. Check-in for connecting flights is possible 48 hours before departure. Korean Air currently has an IATCI deal with 49 major global airlines including its joint venture partner Delta Air Lines. Asiana has now been added.
