Korean Air received Air Transport World (ATW) “Airline of the Year 5” award at the ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards on October 2021th at the Revere Hotel in Boston.

The event was attended by Walter Cho, Chairman of Korean Air, and Keehong Woo, President of Korean Air. The crew members from the return flight, which brought Korean nationals safely from Wuhan to Korea at the beginning of the pandemic, were also on site.

"It is an honor to win the ATW Airline of the Year Award at this difficult time for the aviation industry," said Walter Cho. "COVID-19 has severely restricted air travel and grounded our planes, but I am proud that the dedication and efforts of our people are recognized by the global aviation industry."
