In November of this year, an era will come to an end at the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus, as the last A380 will be handed over to Emirates Airline. There are no further new orders and the group management already sealed the end of the superjumbo program before the corona pandemic.

Emirates will get a total of three more copies, with the last one being delivered in November 2021. This date was originally planned for June 2022, but the carrier and the aircraft manufacturer agreed to bring it forward.

All three A380 jets still to be delivered will be equipped with the new premium economy class from Emirates as well as the latest cabin equipment and the characteristic features of the Emirates A380. These include the private suites and the spa showers in First Class, the popular on-board lounge with bar, flat-bed seats in Business Class and the largest screens in the industry on which customers in all classes can enjoy the extensive on-board entertainment program ice.

With these deliveries, Emirates' A380 fleet will total 118 aircraft in November, including six jets equipped with premium economy seats in a four-class configuration.

“We have agreed with Airbus to bring forward the delivery of our remaining A380 orders and have secured funding for these aircraft. With these new aircraft, we will also be able to offer additional, highly sought-after premium economy seats as we prepare to fully launch this cabin product in the coming months, ”said Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline. "Emirates will continue to be the largest operator of this spacious and modern aircraft for the next two decades and we will continue to invest in our product and services to ensure that the Emirates A380 remains a popular customer experience."
