Lufthansa Group reactivates codesharing with South African Airways

The Lufthansa Group and South African Airways will be working together again under a codeshare agreement. Initially, this applies to Lufthansa flights between Frankfurt am Main and Johannesburg. Kranich customers can then transfer to connecting flights from SAA.

Similar agreements with Swiss and Austrian Airlines, among others, are to be reactivated in the near future. The airlines mentioned are members of the Star Alliance, however the codeshare agreements have been suspended due to the difficult financial situation and the insolvency of SAA.
