Lufthansa is apparently about to sell the remaining business of its catering division LSG Sky Chefs to the private equity investor Aurelius.

As Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter, the two companies could announce the potential deal shortly. The crane line has been wanting to monetize its catering division for some time. The group had already sold the first part of the unit, the European business of LSG Sky Chefs, to the Swiss company Gategroup at the end of 2019, but both partners were silent about the price at the time. A possible sale of LSG's international business would bring Lufthansa additional capital that can be used to pay off corona debt. Experts speak of several hundred million euros that the AUA mother's deal could bring in.
