The airline group has signed a new contract with the travel distribution company Travelport and ultimately wants to save money with it. 

In the future, travel agencies in particular should be able to book flights from the Lufthansa Group better via the Internet platform Travelport +. This should eliminate the fees for airlines and travel agencies that would otherwise arise from bookings via global sales systems (GDS), as reported by aero.de. The Lufthansa Group had already signed a new sales agreement with Saber, a provider of global booking systems, in December 2020
