British low-cost airline Jet2 has opened a new training center in Cheadle, near Manchester Airport. This has cost around £8,5m and is intended to complement Bradford's existing training centre.

Among other things, the carrier announced that the additional training capacities are needed in order to be able to achieve the growth targets it has set itself. Pilots, engineers, flight attendants and ground staff, among others, are to be trained on site.

The airline also announced that the new three-story training center will feature flight simulators and stationary flight simulators, cabin crew training units, real-world scenario technical training equipment, high-tech computer-aided training (CBT) rooms, fully-equipped classrooms and meeting rooms.
