Manchester: Tui Airways flight delayed by 26 hours due to lack of toilet paper

There are always strange reasons why flights are cancelled, but so far it has rarely if ever had to do with a lack of toilet paper. But that is exactly what happened at Tui Airways on December 15, 2022 at Manchester Airport.

The passengers were supposed to take off at around 9:55 a.m. on flight number BY718 towards Sharm El Sheik. But nothing came of it, because as the captain explained to the newspaper "Sun", among other things, there was neither toilet paper nor towels for the toilet facilities. A supplier accidentally brought fruit juice on board.

It happened as it had to: The supplier couldn't deliver toilet paper, so the crew took the problem into their own hands. You "borrowed" a few roles from your colleagues on another Tui Airways machine and then wanted to take off. It was 16:30 p.m. and then it was determined that the crew would be overtime. The flight did not take off until the following day - with a total delay of 26 hours.
