March 2023: Frankfurt with 4,3 million passengers

Germany's largest airport, Frankfurt am Main, had around 2023 million passengers in March 4,3. In a direct comparison with the same month last year, there was an increase of around 860.000 travelers.

The calendar month mentioned was also marked by a strike day, on which no regular scheduled flights could be operated. Without this, about 160.000 more passengers could have been announced. Frankfurt was recently 23,5 percent below the volume that was in March 2019.

The freight business had to record a minus again. 163.581 tons were handled, 7,9 percent less than in the same month last year. Compared to March 2019, there was even 17,7 percent less cargo volume.
