New exhibition: Experience Tirol

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

On more than 500 square meters, the digital adventure world Experience Tirol enables a spectacular journey to the highest peaks, into the past and future, into the heart and soul of Tyrol. One show, 1.000 memories. Knowledge transfer in the newest and most exciting way.

The name says it all: Experience Tirol is a so-called "story-based infotainment show" that has never existed in this form anywhere in the world. Immersive, educational, emotional and equipped with the latest technology, visitors are offered an incomparable world of experience. The focus is on the real, authentic Tyrol. Life in the mountains with all its beautiful and challenging sides. Within an hour, visitors experience a journey through the rich history, traditions, art, natural and sporting landscape of the region. The emotionally charged story leaves lasting memories for visitors.

We were looking for a completely new way of experiencing and a way of imparting knowledge in an exciting way. The result is Experience Tirol Entertainment meets knowledge, storytelling and the latest technologies. – Mag. Peter Margreiter, managing partner.

Story-based Infotainment Show: A world first

Over the past year and a half, more than 200 people have worked to create a 512 square meter world of experience. In five rooms you can embark on an exciting and emotional journey of knowledge through Tyrol. The visitors are accompanied by the father and daughter of the Gruber family - played by Gregor Bloéb and Lisa Neuner - who draw the arc through the rooms and different themed worlds with their captivating and emotional story.

The latest technologies captivate visitors and become a sensuous, lasting experience. Large-scale projections, virtual reality installations and holograms enable impressive moments. Be it the breathtaking view of the valley from the highest peaks in the country, a virtual flight right through the Battle of Bergisel in 1809, a detailed picture of Innsbruck in the times of Emperor Maximilian around 1500 AD. or the jump from the Bergisel Schanze. You can lose yourself in these and many other different scenes and learn a lot about Tyrol - the core of infotainment.

For me, Experience Tirol is a newly conceived work. Drama, music, storytelling and the latest technologies meet a beautifully designed architecture and thus get a completely new framework. If people leave the experience smarter and happier than they entered, then we've done everything right. – Mag. Felix Kozubek, managing partner.

A lasting experience for young and old

The show should pick up both locals and guests alike and appeal to young and old. Historians, art professors and educators have consulted on the development of the content. Experience Tirol offers school classes a completely new form of knowledge transfer on site. Modern technology makes it possible to transport emotions and knowledge in an equally simple and impressive way. This creates many lasting memories and discussions that can be continued in the classroom.
