Norwegian would like to realign itself to all appearances: The ailing airline will reduce its fleet by half.
This means that only 53 aircraft would remain in the airline's fleet. The airline suffered enormous losses, not least due to the corona pandemic, and therefore had to ask the government for help. Accordingly, the airline canceled all long-haul flights a few days ago and will concentrate on short-haul business in the future. The aim of the simplified business model is to offer low prices on many domestic routes in Norway as well as in the Scandinavian region and in the direction of important travel destinations in Europe. And so to make the company profitable again.
