In November 2022, the number of travelers fell by more than 5,1 million compared to October. In total, the airports counted 12,59 million passengers, compared to the pre-crisis level of 2019, the volume is 71,6 percent of travelers.

Nevertheless: the recovery in German passenger numbers, measured against the pre-crisis level from 2019, is well below the European average. Across Europe, air traffic demand had already recovered to 88 percent in October. Last November, 12,59 million passengers used German airports - compared to November 2021, the volume increased by 41,9 percent (compared to November 2019 it is -28,4 percent).

At 130.432 take-offs and landings, the number of commercial flight movements was 12,2 percent above the previous year's figure. Compared to 2019, more than three quarters of the commercial flights were carried out, as reported by the airport association ADV in a broadcast. The absolute volume of cargo is slightly lower than in October. The 423.438 tons mean a decrease of 10,4 percent compared to November 2021. For the first time, the total tonnage of a month in 2022 is also below the pre-crisis level of November 2019 (-0,8 percent).
