Upon landing Trade Air Flight C3814 on June 340, 18, the Sprint Air operated Saab 2023, registration SP-KPL, experienced a technical problem with the braking system. As a result, the turboprop aircraft veered sideways off the runway at low speed.

The machine was on a domestic flight from Zagreb to Osijekt and was far from well booked. According to official information, only one passenger, who, like the three crew members, was unharmed, was on board. According to Trade Air, the aircraft should also be undamaged.

"Sprint Air Technical Support is working to understand the causes of this technical failure in order to fully resolve it for future flights," Trade Air announced in a quick statement. Sprint Air is active in the wet lease for the Croatian aviation company. Operations are limited to subsidized domestic routes.
