From tomorrow Portugal will cut all flight connections to and from Brazil. 

The Portuguese government does not want to risk dragging more people infected with corona into the interior of the country. The discovery of new mutants of the virus is also worrying. Traditionally, there have been close ties between Brazil and the former colonial power Portugal. This measure should therefore only apply for a limited period of time. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the mutant, initially identified in Brazil, has now been detected in eight countries. More than a thousand coronavirus deaths were recently recorded daily in Brazil, according to the ORF.
