Qantas is on the move: From the middle of the year, the Australian airline will be stationing three Embraer E190s in Darwin and Adelaide.

This is to be done in cooperation with Alliance Airlines, in which Qantas holds 20 percent. Because the airline recently took a large order from Embraer, a total of 27 E190s were purchased, such as simpleflying.com reported. Ultimately, three of these jets will be used under QantasLink. QantasLink is a brand name of the Australian airline Qantas Airways for regional flights within Australia, which are often linked to long-haul flights of the large carrier. “The E190 is a perfect regional jet. It offers a greater range than our 717 and is about half the size of our 737. This also increases the economy on longer flights and also protects the environment, "says John Gissing, Managing Director of QantasLink.
