The Czech railway company has ordered 13 Traxx MS3 multi-system locomotives. These are to be delivered from 2024 and will be used both domestically and on routes to Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Poland and Germany.

Manufacturer Alstom announced that the locomotives should be finally assembled in the former Bombardier plant in Kassel. The bogies come from the Siegen site and the body structures from Wroclaw. The original planning and construction took place in Mannheim.

“We currently operate 22 multi-system locomotives, 18 of which are the latest generation Traxx MS3. These modern locomotives are a reliable and proven part of our locomotive fleet,” says Regiojet boss Radim Jančura.
