The fleet of the first two ATR72-500s to the Russian regional airline KrasAvia is another milestone for the manufacturer. Although these are used machines, ATR airplanes were entered in the Russian register for the first time.

With these turboprop aircraft, KrasAvia is modernizing its aging fleet. Sometimes there are aircraft of the types Antonov An-24 and An-26, some of which are 40 years old. The ATR fleet is also a first for the carrier in other respects, as it is the first time that samples that have been manufactured abroad are being operated.

“The acquisition of these two ATR 72-500 shows that we are working harder and harder to improve our fleet and offer our passengers a smoother flight experience. Thanks to the versatility of the ATR 72-500 and the modern and spacious cabin, we will continue to support the connectivity requirements of the Siberian communities with higher seating capacity and a higher level of comfort, ”says KrasAvia boss Andrey Egorov.
