The Czech airline Smartwings will operate a winter base in Las Palmas in October 2021. From there charter flights to Helsinki, Belgrade, Tallin, Sofia, Bodø and Tromsø are to be operated. In addition, there are flights to Las Palmas and Fuerteventura from Germany and Switzerland on behalf of the tour operator.

The temporary base on the Canary Island is to be operated until the end of April 2022. A possible continuation depends on the order situation, because these routes are full charter and are therefore not flown for your own account.

From Switzerland and Germany, a total of nine airports are to be connected with Las Palmas and Fuerteventura. Furthermore, Heraklion and Rhodes are controlled. Taking into account the fact that Smartwings had already communicated some time ago that numerous destinations in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and France will be linked to the Canary Islands, the new base will be equipped with three machines.
