Dispute over fuel costs: Air France stops DomRep flights

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

In the dispute over fuel costs, Air France creates facts. It has been decided that until further notice they will no longer fly to the Dominican Republic. The plans for the 2023/24 winter flight schedule have been withdrawn from sale.

The flight connections from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo are affected. These should have been served with Boeing 2023-24ERs in the winter of 777/300. Daily flights were planned to Punta Cana and at least three a week to Santo Domingo (with a stopover in Punta Cana). This will not be implemented and sales have been discontinued. The background is that numerous airlines are in a clinch with local fuel suppliers and accuse them of excessive costs. Air France's cancellation is not an isolated case.
