Slovenia rewards airlines for flights into the country. For this reason, several airlines filled out applications. The result: AUA parent Lufthansa was awarded the largest amount with 371.040 euros.

The Slovenian Ministry of Economics has come up with something to stimulate domestic air traffic a little. Foreign companies are promised subsidies in return for flights into the country. In addition to the crane airline, others are also cashing in: Air France gets 176.160 euros, while Turkish Airlines gets out with 148.530 euros. Air Serbia receives 98.130 euros, Wizz Air 80.340 euros, Montenegro Airlines 45.450 euros and Lot Polish Airlines 43.620 euros. Swiss receives the lowest amount at 22.050 euros. Easyjet is the only applicant that goes completely empty-handed.

Flights between March 1 and September 30, 2020 were taken into account. But that was only the beginning. Because a total of three such tenders are planned with a total volume of up to five million euros, like the aviation portal exuaviation reported.
