South Korea has been allowing entry without a prior corona test for a few days.
Previously, this had to be carried out before departure. However, a PCR test must be carried out on site no later than on the first day after arrival, and for travelers staying up to 90 days there is also an immediate PCR test obligation at the airport, as Check24 reports. However, there is no longer a quarantine requirement upon entry. Previously, an isolation period of seven days was required. However, holidaymakers must register via the Quarantine Information Advance Input System, which, among other things, requests data on the vaccination status. It generates a QR code that is presented upon entry. The result of the PCR test after arrival is also uploaded via this platform. In addition, German travelers do not need to apply for a visa for short-term stays of up to 90 days. However, you are required to apply for the Electronic Travel Authorization K-ETA, without which you will be denied boarding the plane to South Korea. This has also applied to direct flights to Jeju Island since September 1st.
