Long negotiations took place between Swiss and the flight attendant union Kapers and now the cornerstones of a new collective labor agreement have been agreed. Among other things, this stipulates that the starting salary will be increased to 1 Swiss francs as of January 2023, 4.000.

Salaries should generally be increased by at least four percent. The employee representatives are now presenting the result of the negotiations to their members for a vote. If this is adopted, it should come into force on January 1, 2023. The new GAV23 has a term of at least five years.

"I am very happy that the last building block could be laid in order to create a good basis for the coming years with all professional groups," says Swiss CEO Dieter Vranckx. "With the new collective employment agreement, we want to take into account the extraordinary commitment of our cabin crew over the past few years, and also ensure the necessary stability and attractive prospects for a successful future in 2023 and beyond."
