Corona also made great demands on the Swiss aircraft manufacturer and caused turbulence for the company. Nevertheless, Pilatus Aircraft was able to keep sales of 1,1 billion francs almost at the level of 2019.

The operating result was even slightly better at 155 million francs. A total of 129 aircraft were delivered and the order book is well filled with CHF 1,7 billion. According to the aircraft manufacturer, aircraft customers would have acted rather cautiously over a period of four to six weeks.

But then they returned “contrary to expectations with all the greater demand”. The biggest challenge was not only dealing with the pandemic itself, but also finding answers to the interrupted supply chains and the impending delays in production. 41 PC-24, 82 PC-12 and 6 PC-21 were delivered last year.
