The US Civil Aviation Administration is now under the leadership of Michael G. Whitaker. Last week, the interim chief was officially confirmed in his position by the US Senate.

This meant that the previous acting head was firmly installed at the top of the FAA. He took over the management of the authority on an interim basis around 18 months ago after his predecessor Stephen Dickson stepped down.
