UPS ventures into new territory: The logistics giant has ordered ten eVTOLS.
THE global parcel service company wants to test the electric whiz from 2024. The eVTOLS from Beta Technologies can transport a good 630 kilograms of freight over 400 kilometers. And: The batteries should be charged within an hour, how aero.de reported. "By taking off and landing vertically, we can turn relatively small UPS offices into a micro-air freight network - without the noise and emissions of traditional aircraft," said Beta CEO Kyle Clark. UPS has secured the option on 150 of the aircraft.
