Connections to New York, Miami and Los Angeles recorded a booking increase of up to 300 percent. The airlines in the Lufthansa Group are therefore increasing their offer to and from the USA from June onwards and are flying back to destinations such as Orlando and Atlanta.

At the same time, Lufthansa is calling for an open perspective for the transatlantic: “In view of the great importance of transatlantic air traffic for the global economy, we now need a perspective on how travel between the USA and Europe can be made possible again on a larger scale. Still no easing in sight

For classic European holiday destinations such as Greece, Italy, Spain or Portugal, Lufthansa and Eurowings have reported up to three times as many bookings in the past seven days as in the previous weeks. On some routes to Spain, such as Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza or Barcelona, ​​bookings were even above the level of 2019. Flights to the Balearic Islands and the Greek islands are particularly in demand.
