USA: Southwest flight attendants vote to strike

A flight attendant strike is looming at the US low-cost airline Southwest Airlines.

The Transport Workers Union has already held a strike vote among its members. According to the statement, it represents approximately 20.000 flight attendants flying for Southwest Airlines. They are said to have voted for industrial action with a 98 percent majority. If a call for work stoppages were actually made, it would be a first in the union's history.
