In the run-up to the 2021 air traffic summit, the Cockpit Association calls for a positive signal to be sent out to the entire industry. At the same time, the interests of the thousands of employees should not be neglected.

“It is not enough to save corporations. The short-time work allowance was an important measure in the acute crisis. But what we need now is sustainable job security. Politicians have shown too little commitment here in the past year and a half. As a major shareholder, the federal government also has the responsibility not to lose sight of the wellbeing of employees when making important business decisions. Wage dumping and social cuts at state expense must not be accepted anywhere. Instead, employees want the alliance between politics, companies and the workforce. We all have to concentrate now on the future of air traffic, ”said the new VC President Stefan Herh.
