The union Vereinigung Cockpit is calling for air travel prices to rise. One is of the opinion that flying has to have its price and criticizes the low prices of some providers. The VC rejects such offers and supports calls for the prevention of dumping prices in air traffic.

"The flight on vacation or to a business meeting has its value for travelers and employees and must therefore have a certain price," says Leila Belaasri, press spokeswoman for the VC. “Ultimately, ruinous price competition harms everyone: airlines, travelers, employees and the economy, which depends on efficient connectivity. We appeal to European politicians to stipulate that in future all taxes, surcharges, fees and charges must be included in the ticket price. Everything else is pure dumping. "

The pilots' union also takes the view that particularly cheap tickets would lead to distortions of competition: “They are realized at the expense of the employees and the environment. In order to prevent ruinous price competition, various associations and unions are calling for EU regulation that stipulates that flight tickets may not be sold at a price below the applicable taxes, surcharges, fees and charges, ”said the VC.
