The Indian airline Vistara is expected to merge with its sister company Air India in mid-2025. Previously it was assumed that the project could be carried out more quickly.

Both carriers are under the control of the Tata Sons Group. The intended merger was reported to the competition authority as early as September 2023. The merger will mean that Singapore Airlines will then have a 25,1 percent stake in the merged company. According to the current state of affairs, the Vistara brand will then disappear from the market.
