In the upcoming winter flight schedule 2021/22, Austrian Airlines wants to focus on tourist destinations on long-haul routes. Among other things, Cancun, Mauritius and Malé are in the program.

“The summer and the current post-season show that people don't let their wanderlust be deprived and want to soak up the sun by the sea. With our winter flight plan, we are therefore focusing on attractive long-haul destinations at the beginning of the autumn holidays in order to satisfy our passengers' desire to travel, ”says Austrian Airlines Board Member for Sales Michael Trestl.

The destination Malé will be headed for three times a week from October 3, 2021. Mauritius will follow at the same frequency on October 23, 2021. Cancún, which was last offered in 2006, will start twice a week from October 24th. Boeing 777s are to be used as aircraft on these routes.
