At the end of last week, the GPA and Vida unions agreed with the Chamber of Commerce to increase wages and salaries in the collective agreement for airports and ground handling companies.

Effective May 1, 2024, employees will receive seven percent higher salaries. The inflation rate of the last 12 months, which was 6,34%, was used as the basis for the KV negotiations. Apprentice incomes will also be increased by 7,0%.

All social partners involved, the GPA and Vida unions on the employee side and the aviation professional group of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ) on the employer side, are satisfied and emphasize the constructive style of the collective bargaining negotiations. The collective agreement applies to 6.500 employees.
